Hi there, I once had marble in my bathroom and because I dropped toothpaste on it, it changed colour, so I vowed I would never go that route again when building or buying a home.
Marble in the kitchen just sounds like a tough sell because, while it is quite beautiful, it is difficult to maintain, and kitchens tend to be quite utilitarian.
